Friction Games announced the immediate availability of Penumbra: Black Plague for the Mac on Tuesday. The first person adventure game continues the story in Penumbra: Overture and includes the same dark themes and disturbing atmosphere.

Penumbra: Black Plague

Penumbra: Black Plague focuses on story, immersion and puzzles, and stresses problem solving over violence to work through the game. The game's darker adult theme, however, may be unsuitable for some children.

The game requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, a 1.5GHz processor, 512MB RAM, and at least a Radeon 8500/GeForce 3 video card. Penumbra: Black Plague is available for download at the Penumbra Web site and is priced at US$19.99.
