Think About It: The Mac Essence Part II

Abacus - When Copyright is Wrong
Del Miller has, for the first time, written a column with which we soundly disagree. Mr. Miller feels that copyright laws are being misued and misunderstood, and feels that the "public good" is more important than an artist's rights. This piece is well researched and well written and offers an excellent presentation from the standpoint of someone against copyright laws. A very good read, though we wish Mr. Miller stood on the side of reason. :-)

Why Copyright Should Be Abolished
We normally do not like to give extra promotion to bad pieces (though this piece is well written), but we couldn't link to this drivel without commenting on it. Les Brunswick feels that copyright laws have outlived their purpose and should be abolished in regards to the Internet. He offers a childish argument to that affect. An infuriating read.

Microsoft's Real Problem: No Innovation
John Dvorak has written a piece that we love! The author of the "girly" label for the iBook has applied his acerbic wit to Microsoft, and the software giant comes out lacking. Mr. Dovrak says clearly and concisely what we have said for a long time, that Microsoft does not innovate, has never innovated, and simply repeats the word hoping that others will eventually come to believe it. A very good read.
