Every tournament comes to an end. But MWC99 will have an end like no other to date. We call it the Crucible.
Note that we're not yet sure that the concept behind the Crucible is a good one. We think that it will work well and be a lot of fun, but we encourage your feedback.

Um... oops. I forgot that I had to keep running a separate program to update the current front-runners in the betting pool. My mistake. The list of top pundits has now been updated... expect it to change further as more teams are eliminated.

Elimination Round Three of the Bottom Bracket is complete, and results have been posted for all matches. Note that we have not received any films yet for 3E04 and 3E15, so the scores and stats are incorrect.
Winnowing Round Three must be played this weekend, and fallback times have been assigned on Sunday evening. If teams wish to schedule their match for a time after the fallback time (but before 11pm CDT on Sunday), they should both email us with details of the new time and we may push the fallback time back.
Why didn't we give teams this option in previous rounds? Because there were just too many matches for us to look at them on a case-by-case basis. Now we're starting to "thin out their numbers", so to speak.

Today at 8pm CDT, Nanus Improbus and Wolfpack will battle to see which one of them continues in MWC99. This match is expected to be a very close contest between two evenly matched orders, and we're going to be providing live coverage on the MWC99 Hotline Server. We'll place an observer in the game who will recount events as they develop... you are all welcome to come along and listen.

The cold, purifying flame of righteousness has come to burn away the weak. As Round Two of the Myth World Cup draws to a close, the first sixteen teams are eliminated from the Double Elimination Ladder. Thank you very much to everyone who has had fun playing in MWC99 to date!
Round Three will take place this week. From here on in, one round will be scheduled per week. If you are in the Bottom Bracket, you must play TWO GAMES this week. Fallback times have been assigned on Friday for the bottom bracket's Elimination Round, and on Sunday for the bottom bracket's Winnowing Round and the Top Bracket.
If you are in the Bottom Bracket then it is very important that you try and play your Elimination game as soon as possible so that we can start the Winnowing games before the weekend starts. Fortunately the matches are only three games long in the bottom bracket, so it shouldn't be too taxing.
Roster changes have been made for Round Three and rosters are now locked for the duration of this week.
We hope to have the tournament rooms' login-list updated shortly with changed logins. Please bear with us.
