Reviewed by Stinger:

This game comes down to team coordination. Or lack thereof, as is the case with 7C. They start off with no wights or thrall, which gives them max of all save dwarves, of which they choose 3. <<fs>> goes with a slightly more defense oriented lineup (is this getting familiar?), consisting of about 8 of a possible 16 soulless, two dwarves, several ghols and a large melee segment. One wight tops off the selection, unused but mentionable.

<<fs>> splits three ways (mid/north/south), nearly forgetting the home flag. They quickly capture and set up defense on the two flags closest to their start. Their middle force attempts to flush out a 16 strong flock of 7C soulless, but the souls manage to claim one of the middle hills. Simultaneously <<fs>> Pythos's ghols have found one of 7C's flags completely empty, which they gladly snatch up. 7C has defended one of its "extra" flags with plenty of units, but they turn out to be no match for the combination of Moliere and Poohbear, which lure 7C The Crow's melee into death by cocktail overdose. Moliere's melee clean up quickly thanks to the elimination of the 7C dwarf by more of <<fs>> Pythos's ghols.

7C has all its souls mid, as mentioned before, so once <<fs>> has captured 5 flags their souls move strong to the 7C home flag (avoiding the 7C soulless), which is defended by stygs and warriors (motif). A decent setup, with but one weakness: the need to stay on the flag in order to defend it. Unfortunately for 7C Gurkha, this point escapes him, as his melee is caught jaywalking while <<fs>> atkinson's soulless pinch the home flag.

This game bears the label "No mop required", as <<fs>> was able to wrest all three of 7C's flags from their weak grasp before 7C even takes a shot at their flags. Final score 6 flags to 3.

"We're too slog", The Crow of 7C, circa June 1999

Fellowship of Stoneheim: 6 flags + win, 29 points.
7 Cyberai: 3 flags, 12 points.
