Map: Cracks in the Cloudspine
The numbers next to each player are [kills] : [losses], as displayed in the film of this game.
Reviewed by Paul: VSS seems to have a player advantage, with six players to DB's three. DB ditches most of his thrall in favor of mass bowmen, while VSS ditches several bowmen for mass thrall. VSS also buys two wights so they can chuck some pus. During planning time, the whiteboard erupts into squiggles as both teams try to scratch out their strategies. With the bang of the starting ghol's gun, DB's ghols head off, followed by the rest of the troops. Same for VSS, except for the ghols, loading up with pus. DB's troops reach the center first, and set their bowmen up behind the ancient stone walls. VSS's thrall showed up next, with the ghols right behind them. DB's bowmen launched several fire arrows into the wave of undead, but the commander of the thrall (Doogie) got them out with minimal losses. While the bowmen were busy, VSS's ghols moved in, launching several pus packets at the bowmen. DB's knights were close at hand to counter the threat, and many VS ghols died in the struggle, to kill only a few bowmen. VSS did not take this lying down. They pushed forward, into the center arena, while DB retreated to pepper VSS's dwarfs with arrows, killilng both. Celebrations were cut short, though, however, since VSS swarmed forward, and with superior tactics, knocked DB down to 17%, while VSS still had 67%. The remaining units were DB's ghol division, which tried to recapture some of VSS's unattended flags, but ran into a swarm of Thrall, and were beat down.
