This has been a hotly anticipated match between two highly skilled orders, and the chat log from the play-by-play coverage on Hotline (coming soon) will reflect that. What actually happened was almost an anti-climax, however (if such a term can be applied to a match filled with such great play)... a second's slip on Civil's part in the first game let BMF take their flag with hardly any losses, giving them a huge advantage from the very first game.
In the three games that followed, BMF adopted a very defensive attitude and let Civil come to them. It would have taken an absolutely perfect game to prise them out of their shell, and although they came close at times Civil couldn't quite do it. The fifth game was one that wouldn't reward such passive gameplay, and in that we got a glimpse of the kind of rough-and-tumble action that many people were expecting.
In a Double Elimination tournament, however, two adversaries can always meet again. With another three rounds to go in MWC99, BMF and Civil may get a chance to lock horns once more. If they do, someone will be out for revenge...
