"Tua consilia omnia nobis clariora sunt quam lux. Tu delenda est you cru cr."
The ancient times of hunting and gathering had come to an
end; the discovery of agriculture changed the world forever. With
agricutulre had come ownership of land, where previously, boundaries between
small nomadic hunting groups had been indistinct. People came to live
together in communities, sharing in the work of planting and harvesting, and
in defense against those who would take their winter stores. With the
possession of land had come war.
The growth of farming drew people away from hunting and away from hunting
skills. Some were naturally better suited to fighting than others and so
honed these skills, becoming specialists at fighting. Those who fought
became warriors, and by virtue of their strength, speed and intelligence
became the leaders of their clans. The wars they fought resulted in larger
clans overcoming and absorbing smaller ones forming powerful orders. The
orders varied greatly in their size, demeanor and skill.
A day came, when one man fed up with the evil lords ruling the land,
gathered to him an order of mighty warriors, to defend honor and all that is
good. This warrior, named Loki, dubbed his clan "Loki's Rebellion", a name
which soon struck terror into the souls of all that opposed him and his
clan. With such great champions as Croaker, Manus Celer Dei, Setik, Plague
and Makaveli they quickly became one of the most well known groups in the
land known as Bungienet.
However LR's rule was not to last forever, sadly in the early months of
nineteen hundred and ninety-eight, Loki, the brave leader of the rebellion
was lost, and his legion of warriors were scattered throughout the land.
Several of the remnants of the once great clan joined together with other
friends to form TKR, while the rest went their separate ways. The rule of
evil once again plagued the land...
The God's were displeased with the evil rampaging throughout the land, they
instructed one of their finest champions, The Swift Hand of God, known to
men as Manus Celer Dei to gather unto him the mightiest of champions in the
land, and to form a new order to combat evil, known as Ira Dei... God's Wrath.
The first champion to join, was Ashen-Shugar, a warrior around since the
beginning of time, and a long time friend of the old LR. A current member
of the immensely powerful Destruction Eternal Order, Ashen believed so
strongly in ID's cause he joined forces with them. Soon thereafter the old
members of LR heard the message being spread, and added their strength to
Ira Dei. The one known as Makaveli, thought lost after the breakup of LR
returned, stronger than ever to join. Roaming the land of Bungienet for
many months, ID fought off and eradicated evil wherever they found it.
However the members were slowly being pulled away on other quests.
The ones known as Manus Celer Dei, Setik and Plague were assigned by the
God's to create a new land to inhabit, and as such were pulled away from
their order to help the God's in their plans. Ashen-Shugar was sent to
distant stars to teach the art of warcraft to the inhabitants of those far
off planets. Ira Dei went into a time of recession as the year of nineteen
hundred and ninety-eight came to a close.
A new land was formed at the beginning of nineteen hundred and ninety-nine;
much of it created by the trio recruited by the God's. This trio banded
together to form the Badlands, a map making group of warriors. Engulfed in
their own work, Ira Dei was left with only two active members traveling the
land, Makaveli and Croaker, Makaveli soon assumed leadership of ID, and for
many months he and his companion Croaker fought against evil by themselves.
But soon it was a task too great for two people, no matter how strong they
may be. The land was scoured for suitable members to join. A pair of
fighters, brother's known as Azathoth and Pagan God were found, after trial
by combat they were invited to join God's Wrath. Both agreed,
leaving their
order of Sons of Soul to combine powers with the two active members of ID.
In addition Ashen was called back from the stars to combine his might with
the clan. He brought back with him one of the fiercest fighters from the
distant solar systems, known as Gajiin. The newbie to the land of Bungienet
quickly learned the new technique of combat and has since become a valuable
asset to the team.
Searching the land for even more talent, the warriors Wight Slayer, Greyfist
and Jobu were discovered. As well as one of the mightiest hero's of the
land, Caldazar ex-ancrik became a part of Ira Dei.
Under the insightful leadership of Ashen and Makaveli, Ira Dei has become a
powerful force. Of the untold thousands of clans competing for domination,
Ira Dei has consistently maintained its station above all other clans,
considered one of the 8 best clans in existence. In their quest for power,
Ira Dei has also begun to do battle on the fields of the Online Gamers
League, and has proven itself to be worthy of its station in the lands of
Bungienet. An order ancient in experience, yet new in their quest for
glory, Ira Dei has no great conquests to boast about, only the pure
potential of its players. In addition to their more mundane battles, Ira Dei
has been invited to participate in one of the greatest tourneys of all,
Burt's Speed Tournament. As well as the war taking place at Culloden Hill.
When playing Stampede, Captures or Territories, all orders tremble at the
name of Ira Dei, for they are held to be the best at these contests.
But behold, the time has come for Myth World Cup '99. Ira Dei has prepared
well for this tournament. Increasing its already deep pool of talent and
experience, they have added Jeff the Meek, Faliol and Chikatilo to their
ranks. So, beware, lest your order fall before the Wrath of God!
70 people have bet on Ira Dei to finish in the top ten teams of MWC99. (average place ranked from 1st - 10th: 6.1)
MWC99 Threat Assessment: With a long and illustrious history that stretches back into the dawn
of Myth:TFL bungie.net, Ira Dei have the tradition and players to make
good on their claims. However, their exploits have largely been
confined to ranked bungie.net, without any strong showings in
tournament play recently. Probably not a title contender, but
definitely an order to watch out for.
QR Week 2: Ira Dei are given a shock by the Unknown Clan (how appropriate), who defeat them 2-1 through superior strategic play and good calculation. Almost precisely the same thing happens in their match with Demo Clans United... ID just aren't showing the coordination and strategy that we expected from them. Threat rating downgraded to two trow.
DE Round 1: Ira Dei coordinate well against an outmanned SM team, solid victories in the Drowned Empire games giving them the match handily.
DE Round 2: Superb work against Glue the Moose, as Ira Dei smite their opponents mightily and continue along the Top Bracket over their smoking bodies. Threat rating upgraded to three trow once more. Next up: This Order Sucks At Myth 2.
DE Round 4: In a very close match, Ira Dei are defeated by the numerically inferior but tactically superior Dwarven Elite Strike Force. While ID have really shone at times in this tournament, they couldn't quite do it today and so bow out of the running.
