"The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy and drive him before you...then kill his ass."
The Order of Ascension originated in Myth: The Fallen Lords. where most of its members maintained rank status in the top 300 with several members
occupying the top 100. In addition, two of its members went on to place second in the MacWorld Game Championhip held at San Francisco, CA in january of 1999. A moderate sized order, many of the players enjoy spending their time in ranked gameplay. Although most members are emps and lords, it has never been the order's selection criteria. Ascension prides itself on fair gameplay and honorable conduct. We consider ourselves a well-rounded order, capable of playing multiple game types and maps.
9 people have bet on Order of Ascension to finish in the top ten teams of MWC99. (average place ranked from 1st - 10th: 7.3)
MWC99 Threat Assessment: Ascension have been around for a long time, but tournament play hasn't really been their thing. We find it very hard to assess threat ratings for such orders, and will give them a '1' pending results.
QR Week 1: Ascension crush VG due to their lack of players... not much opportunity to show off mad skills in a match that is such a foregone conclusion. However they definitely deserve an upgrade to two trow.
QR Week 2: Ascension's warrior self-wighting in game three of their match against Random Oblivion has to be seen to be believed. Fortunately they had already killed all of RO's pigs, otherwise things could have gotten messy... they won the match, anyway.
QR Week 3: Ascension come up against Snap, Krackle, Die and although they do reasonably well, they seem at a loss to cope with Snap's mutable strategies and are defeated.
DE Round 1: A few early mistakes cost Ascension dearly, and with two games to go things look grim. However a pair of superb performances lets them smite the Desf forces mightily and continue onwards in the Top Bracket. Threat rating upgraded to three trow.
DE Round 2: Ascension are basically out-strategised by the Alliance, and while their tactical skills are roughly on par they just can't bring their force to bear in the right places at the right times.
