[12:30 PM] A Microsoft Parody Cartoon You Have To See
by Staff
Mark Stetson, a long time Observer, has informed us of a site that pokes some fun at Microsoft's leading billionaire, Bill Gates. You need Flash 4 and a pretty spiffy connection to view the page, but it is worth it. For those without broadband connections, you can rewatch the animation once it has fully downloaded. According to Mr. Stetson:
First off, I've been enjoying your site for months. Lots of timely information, you've basically replaced my need for MacWorld (although I still have a subscription). But I'm writing today to tell you of a fantastic animated site with a beautiful parody of Bill Gates. I know nothing of the web designer, nor his motivations...what I do know is that I'm a graphic designer in a small design/web company, and everyone I've showed it to has loved it, including the President!! I feel a need to share, to let others enjoy the fun, and since I've written in the past, I thought you all might get a kick out of it!. Just give it a quick minute, I guarantee you'll be rolling in your chair laughing!!
The web site is:

The cool Gates parodies are in 2 places, the "X-mas Special: Click Here" and when you run the "Flash" animation, check out the "movies" link, and then check out the "Special Agent" movie. Fantastic animation with a great payoff, especially if you're viewing it on a Mac!!!
Head over to the kimble.org site to see a pretty spiffy site, and some humor at Microsoft's expense.
Thanks for the tip Mark!
The Mac Observer Spin: There a couple of cartoons at this site, and both of them really push the edge of what Flash is capable of. Animation and Flash fans alike will both be impressed with the presentation. Tech heads will enjoy the representation of Bill Gates. :-)
