[6:00 AM] Aladdin Systems Ships Aladdin Branded MacHeadlines
by Staff

Aladdin Systems, Inc. announced MacHeadlines Pro and Lite 1.9.1, Internet information delivery applications. In one convenient location, users can access all of their daily news, weather, and sports information, without having to jump from Web site to Web site. According to the company:

MacHeadlines Pro is a Macintosh parsing engine and Internet browser in the form of a scrolling news ticker that provides news and information right on the desktop. Users can take advantage of the Preset Sites to have MacHeadlines Pro circulate news headlines from a variety of locations, or enter Personal Favorite Sites in their Preferences. Users can also view sports and stock information on their news ticker. MacHeadlines Lite, a free version of MacHeadlines Pro, allows users to view news headlines via a desktop ticker, from a limited number of preconfigured sources.

As the number of news-related Web sites continues to rise, users are finding themselves looking towards a more simplified approach to Internet surfing. MacHeadlines offers a solution to information overload, giving users an easy way to access all the information they need, when they need it, without the time-consuming searches.

MacHeadlines Pro is shareware and requires a Macintosh computer running System 7.5.1 or higher, Open Transport 1.1 or later, at least 8 MB of available application RAM, Internet Config 2.0 or later (or the Internet control panel under Mac OS 8.5 and later), and an Internet connection (including AOL and Compuserve).

MacHeadlines Pro is available directly from Aladdin and will run as a 20-day free trial then expire until purchased for US$19.95. MacHeadlines Lite is a free version with limited capabilities.

You can find more information on MacHeadlines Pro and MacHeadlines Lite at the company's web site.
