|[9:00 AM] Inscriber To Bring Real-Time Effects to FinalCut Pro
Inscriber Technology Corporation announced today that it is developing titling and effects products for the Apple FinalCut Pro editing platform. Building on the strong success of its Inscriber plug-in for NT and EffectsPak, its new Matrox RT2000 based effects product, Inscriber plans to introduce both an advanced Mac-based Titling Character Generator and Mac-based EffectsPaks later this year. According to the company:
The announcement by Apple and Matrox to introduce real-time capabilities for FinalCut Pro clearly demonstrates that we are entering a new era of 'render-free' editing, effects and titling on the Mac. Inscriber's recent initiatives to develop cross-platform CG technology and its close ties with Matrox allows Inscriber to position itself as a leader in real-time plug-ins for Apple-based systems.
Inscriber Mac-based Titling Character Generator and Mac-based EffectsPaks will be released later in 2000. Pricing details and final product features are yet to be announced.
