[1:30 PM] Apple Announces After-Hours Events & AppleMasters Presentations
by Staff

Apple has turned up the heat on the WWDC again with the announcement of some after-hours events, including presentations from five AppleMasters. The events start on May 15th, just a few weeks away. According to Apple:

As impressive as this year's WWDC is shaping up to be, Apple has upped the ante by announcing an impressive line-up of after-hours activities scheduled throughout the entire week.

Kicking off the after-hours events at 8:00pm on May 15, is a special AppleMasters event where five very prestigious AppleMasters will offer glimpses into their passion for the Mac, and their utilization of Apple technology in their personal and professional lives. The five AppleMasters scheduled to appear include Sinbad, Herbie Hancock, James Woods, Gregory Hines, and Bryan Adams.

Also on tap are the Apple Design Awards, Stump the Experts, and Movie Night scheduled for the evening of May 16. May 17 brings us Birds of a Feather, and May 18 is the ever-popular Apple Campus Beer Bash.

And you know that WWDC Door Prize Extravaganza everyone keeps talking about? Well, Apple has just announced that it will distribute over 3,500 prizes throughout the entire week of WWDC.

You can find more information at the WWDC Web site, including registration information.

The Mac Observer Spin: Bryan Adams? Sign us up! But seriously folks, the WWDC Team has done an incredible job of working this year's WWDC and deserves a huge pat on the back. These after-hours events should be a great experience for developers. If you are a developer, or someone who wants to be a Mac developer, go check out the registration information and try to go to the WWDC.
