Group Logic has updated the file-transfer/management system, MassTransit Enterprise, to version 3.5. MassTransit Enterprise helps to simplify and organize file transfers among members of an organization. Ideal for moving large files among different members of a work team with an organization. According to Group Logic:
MassTransit Enterprise, Version 3.5, empowers graphic arts organizations to manage dataflow intelligently. Its easy-to-use prioritization features enable system administrators to define an ordered sequence of numeric priorities. Users can assign files numeric priorities indicating the urgency of delivery when transferring data. The files are then transmitted automatically in priority order, with the most important files delivered first. Using defined priorities, system administrators can also create a set of hot folders representing the various priorities for sending files. They can assign a color and a name to the priorities and their associated hot folders to help users differentiate between them. Once the priorities and hot folders are created, users simply drop files or folders into the appropriate folder from anywhere on the LAN to set the priority, specify the order of delivery, and send the file. The hot folders are created via an easy-to-use interface and managed automatically by MassTransit Enterprise.
MassTransit Enterprise is a high-speed digital file transfer and remote proofing software system that enables users to manage file transfer workflows spanning multi-plant printing and prepress facilities, corporate graphic arts and marketing groups, and other large, widely distributed graphic arts organizations.
MassTransit Enterprise helps organizations manage the increasing flow of digital data flooding their enterprise-networks and those of their customers and vendors. Developed in conjunction with major publishing, printing and prepress firms, the enterprise version features full automation of file transfer workflows across the corporate WAN, centralized management of diverse communications links, centralized management of distributed corporate-network-based file transfer servers, and sophisticated logging and log analysis capabilities. MassTransit Enterprise includes open programmable interfaces for scripting and customization, as well as robust Windows NT and Mac OS server and cross-platform client software for Macintosh OS, Windows 95, 98 and NT.
