[3:00 PM] MACWORLD Tokyo Starts On Wednesday, New Mac Products Should Be Plentiful
by Staff
This week is one of the big weeks for Mac users. MACWORLD Expo Tokyo, the biggest Mac show in Asia, and one of the biggest Mac shows in the world, starts on Wednesday, February 16th. The Mac Observer is expecting Apple to make new product announcements and this has been buoyed by reports from Observers during the past 3 weeks.
In addition to new products from Apple, FireWire World is reporting that a number of new FireWire products are expected to be announced. Storage, scanners, printers, and all manner of Digital Video products will most likely debut at the show.
The Mac Observer will be bringing live coverage of the show's Keynote on Wednesday barring technical difficulties. Should technical difficulties rear their ugly head, we will have a full report as quickly as possible after the keynote. More details will be announced soon.
The Mac Observer Spin: The Asian market is a big one for DV, as well as for portables, so it is our hope that the twain shall meet with the release of a FireWire powered PowerBook. Many, many reports have come in from a number of sources concerning new products from Apple, but we shall have to wait for the show to see what actually happens. This should be one of the most exciting Tokyo shows in a long time.
