[7:00 AM] Flash Movie Shows Potential Aqua At Work
by Staff
Are you as tired as we are of everybody complaining about Aqua, a product which nobody has yet used? A designer, and obvious Mac lover, Kal Starkis is. Rather than complaining, he has done something about it. Mr. Starkis has created a visual representation of how Aqua might be improved. The demonstration also allows users to interact with a modified Aqua interface, albeit in a limited way. According to Mr. Starkis:
Regarding the recently announced 'Aqua' interface to Mac OS X, I (like many people) have some thoughts on how it might be improved. Your readers may be interested to have a look at an interactive Flash movie which demonstrates some of my suggested changes. (Does take a few minutes to download.)
Mr. Starkis also posits many well thought out ideas suggestions for the new interface. For example:
The Dock
I hate the Windows task bar. Thankfully this is not quite the Windows task bar. For the imaginative user I think this has a lot of potential IF it can be customized and organized in a logical manner rather than just being a place to stick stuff.
You can find the interactive Aqua demonstration at Mr. Starkis' web site.
The Mac Observer Spin: We think that you might be interested in having a look, and think you will be interested in the suggestions that Mr. Starkis has made. Also, the Flash demo is just plain cool, and it is worth checking out just for that.
