[6:00 AM] MacBrickout Update Fixes A Score (Almost) Of Bugs

The modern version of the classic game Breakout called MacBrickout has been updated with some 23 bug fixes. According to Leapfrog Software:

Leapfrog Software has just released MacBrickout 4.0.2, an addicting ball and paddle brick bashing game for the Macintosh. The most anticipated new feature is the addition of the online high score list where registered users can post their high scores on the leapfrogsw.com web site for everybody to see. So far this new feature has been a big hit with MacBrickout players. People are now competing with each other and can see how they match up with everyone else.

Other changes in 4.0.2 are as follows:

  • Slow gameplay fixed on powerbooks.
  • Player 2 having the wrong number of reserve balls fixed.
  • Paddle width problems in 2-player mode fixed.
  • Sometimes a level is skipped for player 2. Fixed.
  • Added an 832 x 624 resolution so the game won't be so big on 19"+ monitors
  • Fixed a problem where player 2's cursor disappeared when they entered their
  • high score
  • Fixed the problem where some registered users couldn't save their game
  • Brick frame is now drawn in correct place on screen in level editor at higher
  • monitor resolutions
  • Added some more all-time achievement gems
  • Score bar wasn't getting drawn correctly in resolutions other than 640x480.
  • Fixed.
  • Some of the 3.0 levels were out of order. Fixed.
  • Fixed the lockup problem on level 19 and level 14 (when ball got stuck in a
  • tight space).
  • Fixed bug where user couldn't log a high score after completing a non-factory
  • level set.
  • Fixed a bug where you'd get a red ruby even though the bonus level said you
  • got a blue sapphire!
  • Crash when clam shell or treasure chest appear has been fixed!
  • Fixed a bug where your recently acquired fruit wouldn't get saved when you
  • saved a game
  • Increased the pink bubble bonus to 5,000 points!!!
