[6:00 AM] MACWORLD Expo - Thomas Dolby and Smash Mouth to Be At the Show
by Staff

A host of surprises for the musical faction of the Mac community are in store at MACWORLD Expo SF. From product announcements to guest appearances, MACWORLD attendees are in store for a treat. On the docket:

  • Thomas Dolby (of "She Blinded Me With Science" fame) will be giving a keynote in the Music Pavilion on Thursday.
  • Mixman Studio for the Mac will finally be rolled out! The Mixman site already has a free demo version. Very cool (although it requires that you disable virtual memory). They also have free remixable music tracks for Smash Mouth's "All Star", the top ten billboard hit song.
  • Smash Mouth will be at MacWorld and be doing something with Beatnik and Mixman to promote the rollout. Rumor is they will do a Mixman jam on the show floor. Top that at a PC show!
  • There is a private MacWorld Smash Mouth concert for Beatnik & Mixman going on at Bimbos. Not sure what night.

You can find more information on these events at the Beatnik web site. (Thanks Anthony)
