[3:15 PM] Developers: Web Registration Aid Updated
by Staff
Public Access Software has released an update to Web Register. Web Register is a tool that allows developers to more easily build registration features into their software products. The new version includes new features and other enhancements. According to Public Access Software:
That is why Web Register was created. Web Register is a small Mac OS application that uses the Internet Configuration system to allow for transparent opening of URLs on a user's computer with a convenient and easy to use interface. Since Web Register uses Internet Config to open a URL you can be assured that the web page will be opened in the correct software. Web Register packages URLs pointing to eCommerce or other web-based content in a universally compatible format that is web browser and Operating System agnostic.
Web Register can easily direct users to a software or other service's web site without worrying about which web browser the user may have installed.
Web Register 2.7 offers the following changes:
Web Register Editor can now optionally set the "Web Register" applications to save the Alternate URL in bookmark files instead of the Default URL. The Default URL is always sent to the web browser.
Web Register Editor was not properly closing "Web Register" files after saving them. This would prevent "Web Register" applications from running until Web Register Editor was closed.
You can find more information at the company's web site. Web Register is priced at US$25, and the update is free to registered users.
