[1:00 PM] Image Editor Enters Public Beta Cycle
by Staff

SearchWare Solutions has announced that a public beta-test period is underway for their new movie/image viewer, Pix Lite. Pix Lite supports most of the popular media formats, including QuickTime, MP3, AVI, and others. According to SearchWare:

Pix Lite is a new MacOS compatible image and movie viewer which incorporates many features not found in other freeware or shareware solutions. As well as image viewing capabilities, Pix Lite is also an alternative to the QuickTime 4.0 Player application (with its much maligned interface) for playing QuickTime, AVI and MPEG movies as well as playing MP3 audio. It supports streaming QuickTime (as long as the user has QT 4.0 installed on their system).

Pix Lite offers a fully user-configurable "Slide Show" feature, as well as a "Present Movie" mode.

Pix Lite also features extensive AppleScript support for controlling Pix Lite's many conversion and display features.

The time-limited beta of Pix Lite is available for free. You can find more information at the SearchWare Solutions web site.
