[6:00 AM] It's Real Smart To Use ReelSmart, At Least For Your Motion Blurs
by Staff

RE:Vision Effects, Inc. has released version 1.3 of their After Effects plug-in, ReelSmart Motion Blur. The Motion Blur plug-in produces realistic motion effects in video sequencing. According to RE:Vision Effects:

RE:Vision Effects announces ReelSmart Motion Blur Version 1.3, an After Effects 4.0 Plug-in that applies more natural-looking motion blur to a video sequence by automatically tracking every pixel. RE:Vision's tracking technology is at the heart of ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Users can add as little or as much blurring as is needed.

Version 1.3 has the following changes from version 1.0:

  • much better tracking.
  • meaningful "draft" quality rendering support. "Draft" quality rendering is now much faster than "best" quality, yet is still very useful for getting a good feel for the final rendering.
  • Better rendering (erroneous "splotches" in previous versions have been eliminated).

Reel Smart Motion Blur is available for US$89.95. You can find more information at the RE:Vision Effects web site.
