Chaotic Software has released an update to their Mac MP3 tool, MP3 Rage. Version 1.7.1 is a maintenance release, though is does more than fix bugs. According to Chaotic Software:

MP3 Rage 1.7.1 change history:
Added support for putting return characters into version resources.
Changed how relative volume adjustment ID3 tags are written out to improve compatibility with other software.
Fixed problems with some compressed ID3v2 tags.
Changed how multiple tags in a file are handled. Now uses data from the ID3v1 tag to fill what is missing from the ID3v2 tag.
Made running from a locked volume and/or System Folder less annoying.
