[6:00 AM] Lookin' For A Game? Three New Titles Available Through GameRanger
by Staff

Scott Kevill of GameRanger today announced that the popular and powerful online game finder, GameRanger, has added three new games. Heroes of Might and Magic III, MechWarrior 2 (with NetMech), and Dark Colony games can now all be located through the GameRanger servers. According to Mr. Kevill:

Scott Kevill today announced the addition of a three game titles on GameRanger, the Macintosh multiplayer online gaming service. In addition to the 36 previous titles, gamers can now play Heroes of Might and Magic III, MechWarrior 2 (with NetMech), and Dark Colony.

In Heroes III, you control the actions of heroes to complete mission objectives in a variety of conflicts taking place in the mythical land of Erathia. As heroes travel across the land with their armies, they can explore, seek artifacts, and find treasure, as well as lead their armies into battle. Towns can also have armies garrisoned for their defense and act as centers for recruitment, the learning of magic spells, and trading. Towns you conquer become part of your territory. You may develop your towns to provide yourself with offensive, defensive, and logistical advantages.

MechWarrior 2 is the best-selling, revolutionary game that defined 3D combat simulation as you know it. Based on FASA's Battletech¨ universe, it brings the brutal world of futuristic, robotic combat to life. Battling from within the cockpit of a 70-story walking war machine, the BattleMech¨, you'll live the drama of civil war between two rival Clans whose survival depends upon your combat skills and faith in the honor of the Clan.

Dark Colony is a futuristic real-time strategy game based on a war between a gray alien race and humans over the planet Mars. You must choose between the grays' superior genetic technology and the humans' advanced robotics and cybernetics. To claim total victory, you must exploit Mars' hidden resources, and unlock the dark secrets of its ancient alien race.

GameRanger is available as a free download. You can find more information at the Open Door Networks web site.
