[6:00 AM] New Online Image Optimization Technology Available by Staff Pixami has announced a technology called the Intelligent Client Interface which speeds image processing and provides a pallette of new enhancement functions for online photos. According to Pixami: The interface provides maximum performance for working with online digital photos by automatically adjusting to a user's browser, platform, and operating system. Pixami's Intelligent Client determines the user's platform, operating system and browser, and provides the interface that allows the best performance for each specific user. For example, if the user is running Windows with Internet Explorer, an Active-X control is provided; if the user is running Netscape Navigator, a Netscape Plug-in is provided; if the user is on a Macintosh or non-standard browser, a full server-side implementation is automatically employed. Pixami's online photo enhancement product allows users to adjust the quality of their digital photos on the web, and apply creative effects. Features include Basic Adjustments (Brightness & Contrast, AutoFix, Sharpen, Crop, Rotate, Red-Eye Removal, and Flip), Special Effects (Cartoon, Emboss, Pixelate, Posterize, Sepia, Grayscale and Negative), Textures, and Templates.
