[8:00 AM] Math Modeling Application Updated by Staff Pedagoguery Software has updated their educational math application, Poly, to version 1.06. Poly allows users to explore 3D models to get a feel for structure and shape. The new version adds more models, and a print preview mode. According to Pedagoguery: Changes since the previous version: A Traditional Chinese, a Simplified Chinese, and a Danish interface is now available (in addition to the already available English, Spanish , French, and Korean interfaces). Two Geofix display modes are now available. The modes display the polyhedra as though they were made from Geofix pieces (small flexible polycarbonate polygons which snap together to form polyhedra - see <http://www.geoaustralia.com)>. A "print preview" menu item replaces the "monitor" and "printer" view modes. Poly is a math application for interactively exploring, on your mac, three dimensional polyhedra. Polyhedra may be flattened into a "net" and printed out, cut, folded, and taped together to make paper models. Poly is available for US$28.
