Sig Software has released a new beta of their utility Drop Drawers 1.2. The new beta includes new features and bug fixes. According to Sig Software:
Sig Software is proud to announce the public beta of version 1.2 of Drop Drawers. The program continues to draw rave reviews - according to The Mac Observer, "The potential of this utility is amazing."
Drop Drawers is a revolutionary user-interface enhancement which provides floating pullout, snap-shut drawers on the sides of your screen to store text, URLs, aliases, pictures, sounds, movies and anything else.
Major new features in version 1.2 include drawers listing running processes, optional speech recognition for drawer items, patterns and pictures for drawers and tabs, optional thumbnails for any item and hierarchical menus for folders in drawers.
The beta is unrestricted, but will expire on March 20th.
Sig Software is also running a contest in which the Macintosh community is invited to submit designs for the program's icons and about box logo. The winning design will be used in the final release version of Drop Drawers 1.2 and the designer will also receive one license for each Sig Software Macintosh consumer product.
