[11:00 AM] FlavorSavers Screensaver Adds Better Compatibility With Mac 8.0
by Staff

Chaotic Software, in partnership with YUV422 Software, announced the release of an upgrade to FlavorSavers screensaver for the PowerPC Macintosh. The new version provides better compatibility with older Macintosh systems. According to the company:

FlavorSavers is the Mac's ultimate screensaver package, saving its screen from phosphor burn-in as well as providing entertainment and security. FlavorSavers is application based, so it provides a very stable environment for your Macintosh, and is fully compatible with all current Mac OS releases (8.0 or later).

Changes in version 2.0.1:

  • Improved compatibility with older Mac OS versions (8.0 and 8.1)
  • Minor fixes to module preferences
  • Added new background picture for use with modules.

FlavorSavers requires a PowerPC Macintosh, MacOS 8.0 or higher. 32MB (or more) of RAM highly recommended.

FlavorSavers 2.0.1 is a free upgrade to previously registered users and may be downloaded. It is available for US$20 for new users. You can find more information on FlavorSavers 2.0.1 at the company's web site.
