[2:00 PM] Challenge 2000 Contest: Parody Apple's Or Microsoft's Web Site
by Staff
MacOpz and Ihateapple.com have teamed up to present the Platform Parody Challenge 2000. The goal is for participants to create a parody of Apple and/or Microsoft's sites. According to both MacOpz and Ihateapple.com:
Challenge 2000 is your chance to mock the enemy camp --either Microsoft or Apple.
A US$15 gift certificate for amazon.com will be presented to the persons who design the best parody for each site. Judges will look for humor, neatness, and wit in the parodies.
We don't care how you edit it (HTML, Graphics, both, etc.), just as long as you take a high-quality screenshot of your finished masterpiece and upload it to the Web. Then, use our sign-up form to enter your work in the contest. The winner will be determined by humor and level of skill put into the work, so keep that in mind.
The winner and runner up parodies will be featured on MacOpz and Ihateapple.com.
The contest begins May 1st and ends May 31st and you can find more information about the challenge at MacOpz's site.
The Mac Observer Spin: We sense that the results of the contest will be a must-see. We can't wait :-) It's fun to see two sites with different orientations teaming up on such a contest. Plus, you have to hand it to these two diametrically opposed sites joining forces for this contest. We know many Observers do not care for IHateApple.com, but we will enjoy this contest.
