|[11:00 AM] Smile! USB Digital Photography Becomes Disposable...Well, Almost
TechWorks has done their part to bring the realm of digital photography to the masses with the release of a new ultra-compact digital camera, PowerCAM. The PowerCAM allows users to take digital pictures, and then download them to their Mac via the camera's USB connection. According to TechWorks:
PowerCam is a super compact digital camera that's perfect for use by the whole family. The ultra small design (smaller than a cassette tape!), means it's easy to carry wherever you go. Just point and click to store up to 40 snapshots in the built-in memory module. Then simply connect the camera to your computer via the USB port to download the images. Using a digital camera couldn't be any easier or faster. And while you'll love the PowerCam for it's features, you'll also love it for its looks.

The Mac Observer Spin: TechWorks is likely to find this product strikes a nice chord with many users. Note the way cheap or disposable cameras swept through the consumer market during the last few years. As technology makes similarly cheap prices in the digital world possible, consumers are likely to sweep up cheap digital cameras the same way they do cheap film cameras.
