Power On Software has announced a Road to MACWORLD contest, offering users the chance to win one of a host of great prizes. The grand prize, to be drawn during this summer's MACWORLD Expo in New York is a loaded Macintosh G4 system. According to Power On:
Power On Software announced its Road to Macworld New York contest today at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Eligible contestants can win prizes that include a trip to New York for the Macworld Expo that promises to provide the added thrill of Apple's OS X previews. In addition, a grand prize of a Macintosh G4 Supercomputer will be awarded to the lucky winner.
The contest will run through July 18, 2000 and will help increase awareness of this summer's exciting Expo event at New York City's Jacob Javits Center. Each day's activities at the Power On site will include drawings for Power On products, and each week will find one fortunate contestant winning a new Palm Pilot or Handspring Visor handheld computer. In June, Power On will select the first major prizewinner, who will receive a trip to Macworld (airfare for one from anywhere in the continental United States), passes to the Macworld Exhibition Floor, and a night on the town.
At MacWorld Expo on July 19th, Power On will award the grand prize, a G4 super system. The system consists of 1 Macintosh G4 500 mhz, 256 MB RAM plus an additional 256 MB RAM, 27 GIG HD, CD/DVD, internal Zip drive, Sony 21 inch Trinitron Multiscan monitor, and the complete suite of Power On products.
