Addiction Interactive has released Manic Minefields 1.4, a new version of its minesweeper game. Changes mostly affect highscores with a new importing feature. According to Addiction Interactive:
Manic Minefields is not just another minesweeper clone. It's a minesweeper on steroids! It's really 10 different minesweeper games in one, as it features 10 uniquely designed minefields to choose from.
Each minefield has its own set of graphics, sounds, individual high score tables etc. Some of them have special rules (i.e. obstacles etc.), and some have different ways of displaying the numbers (i.e. dice, Roman digits, foot prints etc.).
About the new version
The latest version has a new feature called 'Import Highscores'. This means that you can receive a highscore file by e-mail from a friend, and then import it into your copy of the game. Manic Minefields will then compare your best times with your friend's, and create new updated highscore tables!
Addiction Interactive is also pleased to announce an official Manic Minefields competition that will be open until the 30th of June 2000.
Manic Minefields is priced at US$7 (shareware) and the update is free to registered owners. You can find more information about it at Addiction's site.
