Mailsmith Has A Birthday, Turns 1.1.3
The good people at Bare Bones Software have updated Mailsmith, bringing their mail client to version 1.1.3. The new version includes new features and enhanced performance. According to Bare Bones Software:

Mailsmith 1.1.3 features a new "POP Monitor" window, which enables users to manually download or remove selected messages from their POP server.

In addition, the groundbreaking "Rewrap Quoted Text" tool, introduced as a plug-in in Mailsmith 1.1.2, has been integrated into the application, along with several new commands aimed at facilitating the manipulation of quoted text in messages. An assortment of further user-interface refinements and feature additions provide increased efficiency when managing e-mail with Mailsmith.

Many improvements which serve to enhance the usability, performance, and reliability of the mail store have also been made to Mailsmith's internal mail store subsystem, and to the underlying database engine.

The update is free to registered owners while the full version is priced at US$79. Bare Bones is offering a competitive upgrade to owners of competing products for US$59.

This announcement follows Bare Bones's April Fool's announcement that Lime iMacs are faster than other colors which we linked to in yesterday's edition of MacOS News Around The Web.
