Serial To USB Converters Abound
Entrega announced a USB to Serial converter for both Mac 8-pin serial ports and a converter for 9-pin (PC) serial ports. The devices allow Mac users to connect serial devices to their USB Macs without having to use a PCI serial port card. According to Entrega:

The serial converters are available in two configurations: USB-CON-D8 (DIN8 connector) for Macintosh and USB-CON-S9 (DB9 connector) for PC. Each version provides a single serial port for connecting palm-sized organizers, external modems, digital cameras, ISDN terminal servers and other serial peripherals to a USB-enabled Mac or PC.

The device is priced at US$59.99. More information can be found at Entrega's web site.
