Shareware Product Makes Seamless Textures
In a separate release from Artis Software [Editor's Note: See our story on Lupe 1.1], the company has announced Texture Magic. This product is designed to make seamless textures for use as repeating backgrounds.

TextureMagic offers powerful tools to transform pictures into seamless textures. Do you want (for example) a brick wall texture that looks absolutely realistic? Just photograph a brick wall, load the picture into TextureMagic and in minutes you have a seamless realistic tileable texture.

TextureMagic is a bitmap editor, so you have all the tools you would expect: Paintbrush, Rubber Stamp and all the other tools you already know. This gives you complete control. The magic is that -- unlike editing in Adobe Photoshop? -- TextureMagic always keeps your textures perfectly seamless.

Pricing information has not been released. The product is expected to be available on April 14th.
