Final Confirmation On Faster iMacs, No New Colors :-(
We have final confirmation [Editor's Note: First reported on March 24th], on the release of faster iMacs. An anonymous CompUSA employee sent us SKU numbers and a few notes.

I work for CompUSA and as of yesterday, CompUSA has entered SKU numbers in it's computer system for the new iMacs! They are identical in specs and colors to the Rev C, except for a speed bump to 333Mhz. They are also priced at the same $1199.99. No bananas in this bunch! :-)

Apple part numbers are;
M7440LL/A Blueberry
M7441LL/A Strawberry
M7442LL/A Grape
M7443LL/A Tangerine
M7444LL/A Lime

I don't have any delivery times yet, but I would suspect the April 19 date that's been reported on other web sites would be realistic. We may receive them earlier, as we have been out of iMacs for weeks, but we won't be able to advertise until Apple says we can.

Thanks for the note!

The Mac Observer Spin: Ok, no new colors as reported by The San Francisco Chronicle yesterday and wished for by The Mac Observer, but the speed bump is confirmed.

We will keep you updated as we get closer to the release date. Any Observers seeing the new units arrive are requested to let us know.
