New Higher Education List Serve Announced
A new Apple Higher Education list serve has been launched by Marc LaFountain. The mailing list is called AppleHiEd. According to Mr. LaFountain:

AppleHiEd is designed for Apple Macintosh managers and administrators at higher education institutions. It's here so they can discuss problems, solutions, and news regarding the Mac and higher ed with colleagues.

Example topics might be: What software for a given field of study is available on the Mac OS? How do you do statistical analysis on a Mac? What are good strategies for Mac lab/classroom management? How can I get Macs to authenticate to NDS? How can I get my Mac to play well with NT? What should I buy for a given situation? Where can I get training for a given technology or product?

While other lists exist to deal with many of these issues individually, having a higher education-centric perspective can often times be very helpful. And, it’s always fun to network with your peers.
