Abbott Systems Auctioning Site Lincenses For Word Processor
Abbott Systems has announced they are auctioning site licenses for their word processor Scorpio. According to At Systems:

Abbott Systems today announced it is running an auction for Scorpio its word processor for the Mac. The auction is for site licenses, and will appeal to school districts, or anyone who needs multiple copies at low cost.

The auction runs for one week only and expires Friday, April 30, 1999.

The company has set up a separate web page for the auction.

The Mac Observer Spin: This is a great idea that lets all participants win. Auctioning the site licenses offers an excellent opportunity for school systems to acquire much needed software inexpensively. Of course it also offers Abbott Systems a great opportunity to get a lot more exposure for their product as well as a chance to get people using it.

A great idea that we hope makes Abbott some money and some users happy.
