Active Concepts Updates Log Analyzer Web Funnel
Active COncepts has released an update to Funnel Web, bringing the log analyzing tool to version 3.1. The new version includes increased performance in DNS resolution and other areas of the software. According to Active Concepts:

In an effort to continually revolutionize the Web traffic analysis industry, Active Concepts has completely re-engineered the Domain Name Lookup functions in the Funnel Web 3.1 update. The result is a dramatic 1000% (one-thousand percent) speed increase in DNS resolution, effectively eliminating one of the Web traffic analysis industry's most common bottlenecks. Funnel Web 3.1 also demonstrates an overall speed increase of 10% with improved virtual domain reporting and improved streaming analysis for real-time traffic monitoring and processing of mammoth log files.

The new Funnel Web 3.1 update offers even greater accuracy and depth of analysis with four brand new reports:

  • "Download History" gives a detailed description of each download;
  • "Error History" helps with diagnostics and pinpointing problems by detailing a description of each error;
  • "Keyword by Search Engine" provides the top search engine keywords used to find your Web site, broken out both by keyword and by search engine; and
  • "Top Directory Listing" breaks down the subdirectory accesses by top level.

New language-localized versions of Funnel Web in Japanese, German, French and Italian were demonstrated for the first time at CeBIT Expo last month, where it received excellent reviews amongst the European press and was nominated for the prestigious Macworld UK Web Publishing Award.

The update is free to registered owners of version 3.x. The full version is priced at US$249 for the Standard version and US$499 for the Professional version, with discounts available for
educational institutions. Upgrades from the Funnel Web 1.x or 2.0.x Standard are US$99 and Professional US$199. Crossgrades from Funnel Web Standard to Funnel Web Professional 3.1 are US$299.
