Public Access Software Inks Deal With New Shareware Registration Service
Public Access Software and Mac Shrine have announced a licensing deal involving Web Register. Mac Shrine is a Mac shareware registration service that will be going live on September 1st (according to their web site). The deal will allow shareware authors to directly tie in to Mac Shrine for registration. According to the two companies:

Public Access Software is pleased to announce the completion of a licensing agreement for our original product Web Register with Mac Shrine, a new Macintosh-only Shareware payment processing service.

Web Register is a turnkey solution for software developers that offers a prepackaged URL launching utility to easily direct users to online resources such as registration web pages. Web Register eliminates the hassles of including software-specific "bookmark" files that may not be usable by some groups of users.

Web Register will exist in the role that the ubiquitous "Register" program fills for the Kagi payment processing service.

"This strategic agreement further solidifies the position of Public Access Software in the Macintosh software community." said Public Access Software founder and developer Tim Mityok. "We intend to further expand our brand and to enhance the computing experience of as many Macintosh users as possible and Web Register is just one tool of many we have at our disposal to do so."

Web Register will continue to be made available to independent software developers on a per-product basis.

You can find more information on Web Register at the Public Access Software web site. Mac Shrine also has more information on their services.
