Wacom To Introduce Cordless Mouse And Pressure Sensitive Cordless Pen
We got a heads up today from Wacom about a couple of products that will be introduced at next week's Seybold Conference. The company plans on introducing a cordless/ball-less mouse and a pressure sensitive and cordless pen. According to Wacom:

Wacom will be introducing next week a new computer input system for both PCs and Macs that combines a cordless, batteryless, scrolling mouse with a cordless, pressure-sensitive pen.

Finally, a mouse with no connecting cord, no batteries, and no rolling ball that needs to be cleaned.

The pen-and-mouse set was developed for computer users who want a better mouse, one that is cordless and with a scrolling feature, and who also want a great pen, one that is cordless, batteryless and pressure-sensitive.

The significance of the Wacom pen-and-mouse set is that it is designed as a reasonably priced multiple input tools system. With both a cordless mouse and pen available, the appropriate tool can be used for the specific task at hand -- the mouse for general navigation and the pen whenever there is a need to draw, write or add signatures.

The company plans on showing the new products on Tuesday, August 31st at Booth 601 at the Seybold Conference. The product is expected to be priced at US$99 and should be available in October.

The Mac Observer Spin: Wacom has long been a favorite in the graphic development community. These products should make quite a few users quite happy.
