[6:55 AM] Ewwww! Bugware Turns 2
by Staff

The Good people of AuctionMac Software has updated their troubleshooting application, BugWare, to version 2.0. Bugware facilitates the reporting of problems and bugs on shipping software (akin to the Talkback module with the Netscape product suite). According to AuctionMac:

AuctionMac Software is proud to release a stunning upgrade to the developer tool BugWare. BugWare has gone 2.0! BugWare 2.0 is an all-purpose, customizable support solution for developers. It allows software/shareware makers to effortlessly provide their users with an easy-to-use method of obtaining technical support and filing bug reports. BugWare 2.0 also provides the developer with essential information in diagnosing problems and tracking down bugs. It's as useful for shipping products as it is for alphas and betas. BugWare 2.0 offers dozens of features.

BugWare 2.0 is completely customizable... You can tailor your application to perform and request exactly what you want for the customer. And setup takes mere minutes.

BugWare is simple, user-friendly, and effective. It gathers critical system information and configuration settings, including extensions/control panel versions and dates! It works silently to gather system information without any input needed from the customer. It offers seamless integration, a unique look-and-feel to blend with your software, and support for multiple products and versions.

BugWare 2.0 offers immediate bug reporting and support requests though built-in SMTP protocol. Customers can even save, edit, and e-mail reports from any Mac at any time. And the customer has complete privacy... The user can view all information that BugWare gathers (BugWare gathers no private information, only system stats). It even offers options to gather Apple System Profiler input.

BugWare is available for US$21.95. A demo version is available. You can find more information at the AuctionMac web site.
