[6:55 AM] Tweak Your HTML Code A Little Easier
by Staff

MacZ Software has released OptimaHTML 1.6.1. OptimaHTML allows web masters to minimize the size of web pages by "cleaning" HTML code, thus making it more streamlined. The new version includes performance tweaks and other new features. According to MacZ:

OptimaHTML is a powerful tool which compacts HTML documents by eliminating unneeded and unwanted tags, spaces and carriage returns, without making changes to document's layout. The software can be set to blast off style-affecting tags (like blink, bold or italic) and custom tags defined by the user. After the speedy process of optimizing, the size of the optimized file is reduced, by a percentage shown to the user. With OptimaHTML you can get your web site considerably faster and smaller by bringing down the size of the HTML files.

New additions in version 1.6.1 (compared to v1.6) include configurable file extensions, and </BODY and </HTML closing tags has been added into unnecessary closing tags list. Version 1.6.1 also requires less RAM and should work little faster because of the changed application code compilation method.

OptimaHTML is available as shareware for US$8. You can find more information at the MacZ Software web site.
