Weedhopper Press has updated the system appearance management utility, AppearanceHopper, to version 1.9. For those wanting some variety in how their desktop looks, but do not want to go full bore with Kaleidoscope, AppearanceHopper might be an alternative. According to Weedhopper:

AppearanceHopper 1.9 is now available from Weedhopper Press. The control panel allows the changing of system fonts, alias and scrolling options, and more. Version 1.9 is a major update to 1.5, featuring speed and stability enhancements and several alternative system fonts. A French version is also available, with a Swedish version coming soon.

AppearanceHopper is available as shareware for US$9. You can find more information at the Weedhopper Press web site.
