[4:20 PM] Mega Minesweeper Gets More Mega Changes
by Staff

Carrot Software has released a new version of Mega Minsweeper. The new version includes a host of changes. According to Carrot Software:

Carrot Software has released version 0.9.7 of their game Mega Minesweeper. This release incorporates many new features and bug fixes as well as new Theme plug-ins. Have a happy Holiday!

Changes in 0.9.7

Please delete the old preferences file in your Preferences Folder (in the System Folder) if upgrading from an older version. With 0.9.7 and all following new releases, the scores & statistics are stored separately from the preferences, so this will be the LAST time you lose your high scores!

  • Added support for individual preferences & statistics. Files are stored
in the "Statistics" folder inside the Mega Minesweeper . You can NOT yet
log in / create new users: all games will be played as "Guest".
  • Now allows Power Modifier an d Flag Modifier to be the same. If they are
the same (or they are different and both held down) Mega Minesweeper will
choose the appropriate key based upon which field the mouse is over. THIS
MEANs THAT YOU CAN USE THE SAME KEY TO FLAG AND POWER CLICK!
  • 'Paused' now dimmed when game is over.
  • Navigator window now displays 'Paused' similar to the main window
  • Fixed bug which restarted the clock after un - pausing even if the game
    had not yet started.
  • Fixed bug which allowed you to scroll the main window and the Navigator
    window while paused.
  • Fixed small bug when resizing windows. Also makes redrawing after
    resizing window smoother
  • Fixed bug in Navigator scroll bars when opening some saved games.
  • Fixed bug in prefs - "Auto switch" and "Don't ask to switch" behaved like
radio buttons instead of check boxes.
  • Fixed bug in open games. If paused, it started the clock anyway.
  • Fixed bug when taking down Menus that could lead to memory leak.
  • When viewing scores (cmd. + H) the scores displayed are of the same
difficulty level as the last (or current) game played.
  • Simplified UI.
    • Moved Theme & Sounds to Option Menu.
    • Moved all 3 modifier menus to preferences.
    • Question Marks moved to preferences
