[8:00 AM] New Patch Makes Eye Candy & Xenofex See Fireworks
by Staff

Alien Skin has released "patch" versions of the popular Photoshop plug-ins, Eye Candy and Xenofex. Eye Candy 3.1 and Xenofex 1.1 are now supported by Fireworks 3.0. According to Alien Skin:

We are happy to announce free patches to our popular Eye Candy and Xenofex plug-ins! These patches optimize Alien Skin filters for use as Live Effects in Macromedia's Fireworks 3 graphics program. This means that all of our filters now remain completely editable after being applied in Fireworks 3. In addition, all Alien Skin effects will automatically update to match changes made to your original graphic. If you're using Fireworks 3, these patches will give you amazing control over your Web graphics, and save you hours of time on revisions!

The free patches to Eye Candy 3.1 and Xenofex 1.1 are available to registered users . If you don't own one of these products, but would like to get it for use as Live Effects in Fireworks 3, just buy as usual from any source (including our Web site) and then download the relevant patch. Note: these patches will only work with English-language versions of our software.

Eye Candy and Xenofex are each available for US$129.99. You can find more information at the Alien Skin web site. The updates are free.
