[3:45 PM] New QuickTime Addition Brings Support For IPTC Format
by Staff

J2S has announced J2S IPTC Importer, an enhancement to QuickTime. According to J2S:

J2S announces the availability of J2S IPTC Importer, a MacOS QuickTime component that enhances QuickTime to support files conforming to the IPTC format.

With this component, users can work with IPTC files from any software package supporting QuickTime graphic importers.

This means that with J2S IPTC Importer, applications such as PictureViewer, Portfolio or even SimpleText can directly open IPTC files. It also allows graphics software e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator... to convert these files into a readable format. J2S IPTC Importer makes it possible to create and display a preview directly in the MacOS standard open file dialog.

The IPTC file format is the standard used in the press industry sector for exchanging information.

To download J2S IPTC Importer, please visit our web site at www.j2s.net.

You can find more information at the J2S web site. J2S IPTC Importer is priced at US$150.
