[4:15 PM] Power On Software Offers Competitive Upgrade On Now Up to Date & Contact
by Staff

Power On Software has gone on the offensive after the release of Now Up to Date & Contact 3.8 last week. Now Up to Date & Contact is the venerable organizer/scheduler rescued from the garbage heap at Qualcomm and rejuvenated by Power On Software. The company is offering a competitive upgrade to owners of several competing products. According to Power On:

Power On Software announced today that it would offer users of a variety of personal information manager and calendar products an opportunity to avoid being out of date. Owners of the qualifying products can get a downloadable version of Now Up-to-Date & Contact, the brand new release of the Macintosh classic, for only $39.95 (a savings of $50 after rebate) between now and December 31, 1999. Details of the special offer are available at:

Qualifying products include all versions of: ACT! for Macintosh, Claris Organizer, Consultant, DateBook and TouchBase, InTouch, DateView, and Dynodex.

Now Up-to-Date & Contact version 3.8, the most popular Macintosh contact management and calendar application of all time was released just two weeks ago and has already rocketed to the top of CNET's downloads. It now occupies the number one position for all product downloads in this category, an amazing feat considering the product's recent posting.

You can find more information on the rebate offer at the company's web site. You can also find more information on the product itself.
