DuoScan HiD

The newest member of the DuoScan family, the DuoScan HiD, features an optical resolution of 1000 x 2000 dpi, 42-bit color depth and Agfa's patented TwinPlate(TM) technology. The DuoScan HiD is designed for professionals who need to capture great color detail within a wide density range - such as photographers, graphic illustrators, photo banks, museum archives, specialty publishers and commercial printers.

With a true 14-bits-per-color depth and wide dynamic range, the DuoScan HiD scanner captures a high level of image quality, especially in the darkest areas of negatives or positive slides where detail is difficult to capture. The DuoScan HiD also captures even the most difficult colors such as deep reds and blues with remarkable accuracy.

The company says that the new product will be available in February at a price of US$2,450. The company has not yet added information on the DuoScan HiD to its web site as the product is not ready for release. you can find more information on Agfa's other scanner products however.
