MacHome Launches New Mac Print Magazine
The publishers of MacHome have announced they are ready to launch their new Mac magazine "The iMac Buyers Guide." The magazine saw its premier issue distributed at MacWorld San Francisco and the company is ready to start shipping it twice a month to subscribers. According to MacHome:

"The Premiere issue was introduced at Macworld Expo in January, and mailed to select MacHome subscribers later in the month. The second issue will carry a cover date of Spring 1999 and will be delivered in early April. It has been accepted for national newsstand distribution through Kable News, IPD and Ingram, and will be mailed to select MacHome subscribers. Ad space closes March 3, editorial February 25. Projected total distribution is 125,000."

Subscriptions are US$14.95 per year.

The Mac Observer Spin: The trend among print magazines in recent years has been for Mac mags to cease operation or at best to merge with other print magazines. The iMac Buyers Guide is bucking that trend and The Mac Observer wishes them the best of luck!
