Apple Stock Watch: Apple Slips Again, Still Above 50
Apple's stock slipped again today, though it still maintained the US$50 support level. Apple closed at 53 11/16, a loss of 13/16 or 1.49%. Volume was light with 2,527,000 shares trading hands.

Apple PC competitors again showed mixed results with IBM and Hewlett-Packard showing gains, while Dell, Compaq, and Gateway all fell.

The Dow and the Nasdaq both fell with the Dow closing at 11175.02, down 25.96. The Nasdaq closed at 2778.23, a loss of 12.21.

The Mac Observer Spin: Apple will be reporting their 3rd Quarter results tomorrow. All indications are that the company will report an excellent quarter with results better than those of a year ago. Traders will likely be watching closely for any sign of a slip-up in Apple's execution or a reaffirmation of Apple's position.
