Shareware Image Editor Receives an Update
Addiction Interactive has updated Rainbow Painter, their shareware painting and photo retouching program to version 1.2. This version adds a few new features and squashes some bugs. According to Addiction Interactive:

New user interface features:

  • The "Realtime Zoom" is now displaying brief info about what's underneath the mouse pointer.
  • Tutorial extended.
  • Manual extended.
  • Quick Help extended.

New image editing features:

  • New picture tool: "Spray".
  • New picture effect: "Split".
  • New mask tools: "Blur", "Spray".
  • "Undo" is now available in the dialogs of all picture effects and layer operations and some picture operations, to complement the "Make/Use Backup" function.
  • The picture tool "Smear" has been improved.

Killed bugs:

  • The mouse pointer didn't change to "busy mode," when switching the mask on/off.
  • Changing of a picture's name was refused by the program in some rare cases.

Rainbow Painter 1.2.0 is downloadable shareware with a US$12 registration fee.
